New Kids Play Place in Macomb Township
Occupation Station just opened on July 16, 2016 and offers imagination based play areas themed around dream jobs for children ages 1-8 years old. Kids can drop in with an accompanied adult for the day at a cost of $10 per child, or purchase a monthly pass for unlimited play for $25 per child. Children receive a book to keep as a monthly member as Occupation Station also promotes the importance of reading. There is story time everyday at 11:30AM in the library area. Children receive a color page with every visit to complete in the art studio area.
The play areas include a bakery, police station, fire station, animal hospital, athlete’s corner, auto center, space station, school, fitness area, dance studio, as well as a puppet show area. The library is full of books from board books all the way up to 5th grade reading level. The library also has some fun learning games and activities.
There are special events planned once a week that include fitness fun, art/craft projects, and give back to the community events. All special events are free to monthly members and cost $10 per child for non-members. To participate in events parents must sign children up online on the special event page of the website: www.theoccupationstation.com. Some up coming events include: Blankets for the Children’s Hospital, Toddler Fitness, Skeleton X-Ray Art Project, and a Kids Yoga Class.
