Your family is sure to enjoy all the holiday programs, events and family fun planned at many Oakland County Parks this winter season!
Whether gliding down a snowy sledding hill, enjoying a brisk walk on the trail or playing with a favorite furry friend at the dog park, Oakland County Parks and Recreation (OCPR) parks are quite magical in the winter. Being among nature can help lift spirits, contribute to better mental health and offer endless opportunities for fitness and exercise.
“Frosty fun is all around,” Brandy Sotke-Boyd, Chief of Recreation, Programs and Services, said. “In addition to our extensive year-round programming, we are hosting a number of special holiday events to help everyone celebrate the joy of the season.”
OCPR Holiday Programs and Events Schedule:
Be sure to mark these special events and holiday programs on your calendar:
OCPR gift cards also make great presents, providing people of all ages with access to activities, programming and trails, including our holiday programs. These reloadable gift cards can be used toward annual vehicle permits at eight parks, including three dog parks; green fees at five golf courses; camping fees at two campgrounds; waterpark admission; and programs at OCPR’s two nature centers. Cards can be loaded with any amount, starting at $10, so they make fantastic stocking stuffers, too.
“This holiday season give an experience, a gift that your friends and family can enjoy throughout the year,” Sotke-Boyd said. “They can enjoy activities during all four seasons when it is convenient for them.”
