Soak City at Cedar Point

Chances are if you have been to Cedar Point, you have heard of or seen Soak City.  It’s their water park, which shares the island with the amusement park.  A huge thank you to the folks at Cedar Point who invited my family to come for a courtesy visit in exchange for this promotional post.

Way back when Damian was younger we visited Soak City.  I was surprised to see many of the same elements present some 15+ years later.  But, the good news is that Soak City will be getting a makeover this year and will be transformed to the new 18-acre Cedar Point Shores Water Park.

Soak City has a lot for kids of all ages to do.  They have three younger children splash pad areas, slides, two lady rivers and a wave pool.  My kids were upset when it was time to leave… I was too I have to admit.

Life jackets are required (and supplied) for many attractions for shorter guests.  Check the signage at each station to see if children need a life jacket or a responsible adult to accompany them.

We didn’t try out any slides this time as I took all three girls by myself.  There were many available and looked like a lot of fun.

The lazy river was fun for a couple of rounds.

The girls did spend a lot of time playing in the sand, which was an awesome addition to this play area.

These slower slides were perfect for Rosa who is a bit timid when it comes to trying something adventurous.

Overall we found the park to be very clean.  The staff was very helpful, just some of the structures are older and worn.. but the kids don’t care.. they had a blast.

We look forward to checking out the new space once it is renovated next year… yay. Cedar Point Shores Water Park
