David H. Shepherd Park in Oak Park hosts several play structures including a large wooden train and toddler play structures. Sports fans can enjoy basketball, baseball, tennis, indoor ice skating, outdoor pool and also a paved walking trail. The 56.8 acre park also hosts several pavilions, grills and picnic tables.
Inglenook Park in Southfield is a Boundless Playground designed for children of all abilities. The farm-themed playground is located in Southfield on 12 Mile Road, between Evergreen & Lahser roads. The park also offers gravel Jogging/Fitness Trails, Neighborhood Ballfields, a spacious Picnic Area (no shelter), Playlot, Restrooms, Nature Area and Public Parking.
Booth Park in Downtown Birmingham is an amazing playground for children with a giant castle playscape, zen garden, swings, sandbox, and astro-turf hills.
Schroeder Park offers two soccer fields, and 10 acres of wooded area to explore. Additionally, parkgoers can enjoy the paved and unpaved paths through these wooded areas. The nearby Schoeder Elementary School hosts a ball diamond as well as two play structures. This park does not offer parking nor restrooms.

This 41-acre park hosts an 18-hole disc golf course, ball diamond, two barrier-free play structures, picnic shelter, sand volleyball court, and paved walking path through the woods.
Farmington Hills Nature Center is located within Heritage Park, a 211-acre park within Farmington Hills. Guests can enjoy the nature center as well as 4.5 miles of trails.
Sullivan Park in Royal Oak is located at Greenfield Road & Samoset Road. The park hosts picnic areas and also a new playground.
