Slyvan Glen Lake Park in Troy is certainly one of the largest of the cities nine community parks. Adjacent to Sylvan Glen Golf Course., this park is located on the west side of Rochester Road between Square Lake and Long Lake Roads. The 40-acre park offers shore fishing on the sixteen-acre lake as well as plenty of grassy areas to play.
It is important to realize that swimming and boating are prohibited on Sylvan Glen Lake, and a State of Michigan fishing license required to fish.
At the present time the small unpaved lot offers free parking for up to 16 vehicles. A grill, a few picnic tables, together with plenty of green space make this the perfect place for a picnic. Bring along your Frisbee, soccer ball, bubbles, as well as a blanket and enjoy a relaxing day by the lake.
