When I turned thirty-nine, I noticed my vision started to become blurry. I went and had my eyes examined and ended up with my first pair of reading glasses. Two years has passed since then, and I have had my eyes checked annually. Have you ever heard the saying that your eyes are windows to your soul? Well, your eyes can tell you quite a bit about what is going on with your health.
The Importance of Vision Screening
I was invited to check out Visionworks located inside Macomb Mall. I’m relatively new to the area, so I was happy to find a new location to have my eyes checked. I had been noticing lately that my vision seemed a tad off. Were you aware that a simple vision screening can sometimes detect significant health problems? Below is a list of possible problems a screening could identify.
The staff at Visionworks were welcoming and friendly. The eye test is easy, and the worst part of the whole thing is a tiny poof of air in your eye which is honestly nothing. Such a small test but is vital for checking your health annually.
End Of The Year Benefits
If your employer or insurance provides you with eye coverage now is the time to make your appointment! Your benefits expire at the end of the year. Even if you have never needed glasses in your entire life, it’s important for your overall health to have a comprehensive eye exam. Do you have kids? Make sure you have them tested as well! Early detection is the key to better health.
Would I recommend Visionworks?
Yes, without a doubt. I enjoyed chit-chatting with everyone in there. Visionworks is a place you want to return to because everyone is so friendly. They were spot on with my new prescription. I LOVE being able to see better. Also, a few ladies spent lots of time with me trying to find the perfect pair. I loved how honest they are with you. They will definitely tell you if something is not the right fit for your face. I always appreciate the honesty because glasses are a fashion statement.
I don’t want to forget to mention that I splurged and bought a pair of prescription sunglasses for when I’m outside and want to be able to see my phone. I LOVED this pair of sunglasses that the ladies helped me select!
