The Village of Rochester Hills, metropolitan Detroit’s premier outdoor lifestyle shopping and dining destination, is excited to announce the return of Music & Me classes this summer. These engaging and interactive music sessions are free to attend and will be held on select Tuesday and Wednesday mornings at 10:00am from June through August. Each class will last approximately 45 minutes and is designed for children from birth to five years old. Parents, grandparents, aunts, and uncles are all encouraged to bring their little ones to join in the fun.
Fun and Interactive Music Classes
On Tuesdays, Ms. Jenna from Music Together will lead the classes. Music Together is an internationally recognized childhood music program that has been pioneering developmentally appropriate music curricula for young children. In Ms. Jenna’s “Mini Musicians” classes, participants will sing, dance, and shake rhythmic instruments together, creating a joyful and educational experience that emphasizes strong adult involvement.
Wednesday classes will be led by Ms. Calissa from Sing Play Speak. A speech-language pathologist, vocalist, and mother of two, Ms. Calissa offers a unique program that uses music, movement, and play to support speech, language, and social skill development. Her classes are designed to enhance parent-child bonding while helping children discover the magic of rhythm and melody.

Each week, participants will explore new musical themes with Ms. Jenna and Ms. Calissa in the beautiful outdoor setting of Festival Park at The Village of Rochester Hills. Here’s a sneak peek at some of the themes:

- August 27, 2024 – All Around the World

- June 19, 2024 – All About Colors (wear your favorite color)
- June 26, 2024 – Opposites
- July 3, 2024 – American Classics (dress in red, white, and blue)
- July 10, 2024 – Under the Sea
- July 17, 2024 – Transportation
- July 24, 2024 – Animals Part 1
- July 31, 2024 – Animals Part 2 (animal craft happening after class)
- August 7, 2024 – It’s Rhyme Time
- August 14, 2024 – Disney Classics Sing-A-Long
- August 21, 2024 – Favorites Week (Summer recap of your favorite songs)
Location and Additional Information
All sessions will take place near the gazebo in Festival Park at The Village of Rochester Hills, located at 104 N. Adams Road, Rochester Hills, MI 48309 (at the corner of Adams and Walton). Guests are encouraged to bring blankets to sit on and participate comfortably. In case of inclement weather, updates and cancellations will be posted on The Village of Rochester Hills’ social media pages.
