The Sledding Hill at Green Acres
Winter is here and we are gearing up for a lot of fun in the snow and sun. Coupled with other outdoor activities, sledding is a perfect way to get out all that pent up energy. Outdoor play also provides us with the opportunity to enjoy the fresh crisp air. With so many wonderful parks in Metro Detroit featuring outdoor winter activities, there is no reason not to get outside and play. Sledding is a favorite winter pastime in Metro Detroit. Green Acres offers a smaller hill that is perfect for younger children.
The Sledding Hill at Green Acres Park is not too steep and also provides a quick fun ride for parkgoers. There are no public restrooms, so make sure you go before you visit. However, if the Recreation Center is open, you may be able to use their facilities.
The sledding hill at Green Acres Park is “use at your own risk” and adults must accompany as well as supervise their children while using the park.
In addition to the sledding hill, this park features play structures together with picnic pavilions and ball fields.
