Looking for something fun and free to do with the family? On Saturday, April 5, 2025, Ford House is hosting its annual Community Appreciation Day, and everyone is invited! This is a chance to explore the stunning 87-acre estate that once belonged to Eleanor and Edsel Ford, completely free of charge.
Located on Lake St. Clair, Ford House is a National Historic Landmark that offers a mix of history, breathtaking architecture, and beautifully landscaped gardens. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a longtime fan, this is the perfect opportunity to experience everything the estate has to offer.
What’s Included?
Guests can choose between two free admission options:
- Grounds Admission – Wander through picturesque gardens, stroll along the lakefront paths, and check out the historic auxiliary buildings. Be sure to stop by the Visitor Center to see exhibits about the Ford family and their lasting impact.
- House + Grounds Admission – Take a self-guided tour through the Main Residence, where the Ford family once lived, while also enjoying full access to the gardens, estate grounds, and exhibitions.
In addition to exploring the grounds, guests can visit The Shop for unique gifts and souvenirs. The on-site restaurant will also be open, offering delicious meals with stunning views of the estate.
