The Burgess-Shadbush Nature Center is within River Bends Park in Shelby Township. The 5,200+ square foot building hosts plenty to see and do. Visitors can learn about nature through live animals, static displays, as well as seasonal displays.

Normally they offer birthday parties, hiking tours, seasonal learning opportunities, a wide variety of camps, scouting programs, field trips and more. However, due to Covid-19, the Nature Center has suspended these programs.

Nature Center Hours

Monday/Tuesday: Closed
Wednesday-Saturday: 10 AM until 6 PM
Sunday: Noon until 5 PM

Due to Covid-19 visits to the nature center are limited. Guests should made a reservation in advance online.
