It’s been a long time coming, but the brand-new Bavarian Blast Indoor Waterpark in Frankenmuth is finally here, and it does not disappoint! Our family of four visited recently, and from the moment we stepped inside, we were completely hooked. With a mix of high-energy water fun and relaxing features for adults, it’s a true all-ages destination that feels like a tropical getaway just a short drive from Metro Detroit.
Water-Filled Fun for All Ages
With 16 water slides, splash zones, and interactive play areas, Bavarian Blast is a dream come true for kids. Our 7-year-old couldn’t get enough of the bigger slides, while our younger child was thrilled with the shallow water areas and splash zones made just for little ones. The space is expansive, thoughtfully laid out, and also provides plenty of opportunities to climb, spray, slide, and explore.
Since it’s an indoor waterpark, families can enjoy the excitement year-round. Regardless of the weather, it always feels like summer inside.
Unique Features for Adults at Bavarian Blast Indoor Waterpark
For the parents, the indoor-outdoor hot tubs were a huge highlight. You can soak in the warmth indoors, then drift outside into the fresh air, all without leaving the water. It was the perfect way to unwind while still keeping an eye on the kids.
Another standout feature? Michigan’s first indoor swim-up bar. Yes, really. Floating in the water while sipping a cocktail felt like a mini vacation. Bavarian Blast has managed to offer that rare blend of kid-approved fun and adult-friendly luxury.
Food and Amenities
We got hungry and found ourselves pleasantly surprised by the on-site dining options. The pizza was fresh, hot, and ideal for sharing by the pool. There are also other options available, from light snacks to full meals, with plenty to satisfy both adventurous eaters and picky kids alike.
Safety is clearly a priority here, too. In fact, the park was staffed with a high number of visible lifeguards, which, as a result, made it much easier to relax. As a mom, I truly appreciated the sense of security and peace of mind throughout the experience.
