Westview Orchards – Washington Township

Westview Orchards is located  at 65075 Van Dyke in Washington Township.  Right on the corner of Van Dyke and 30 Mile Road and west of the Van Dyke Expressway (M-53).  They are open seven days a week from April until December 24th and offer a ton of family fun on 188 acres.

The activities available vary during each season.  During the fall season you can visit the Farm Market, Schoolhouse Ice Cream and Sweet Shoppe, and Cider Barn.  Westview Orchards offers a 3 acre playground, petting farm, obstacle course, straw mountain, old fashioned backyard games and train rides (additional fee).  Included in your weekend admission is The Black Hole, an indoor maze, barnyard bounce, 40 foot slide, wagon rides and corn maze.  Bakery at K’s Kitchen, The Milkhouse Café, The Corn Crib, and The Grill on the Hill, Family Fun on the Farm Admissions are only open on the weekends.  For an additional fee on the weekends the following activities are available: horse drawn wagon rides, pony rides, apple slingshot and pedal tractor pull.

We visited Westview Orchards in the fall of 2010.  Our whole family enjoyed our trip.  Rosa enjoyed the petting farm and playground, while Damian tackled the obstacle course several times.  If you are looking for more than just a you-pick orchard, I highly recommend Westview.  The numerous activities are enough to keep a family busy for the whole day.

In addition to the family fun, we enjoyed the fresh donuts and cider which were both amazing.
