Rochester Hills Public Library

Last week a friend and I revisited the Rochester Hills Public Library.  We really enjoyed our time there.  They offer so much in their children’s section, beyond the ROWS and ROWS of books.

The puppet theater was well stocked with tons of puppets to spark creativity and dramatic play.

Puzzles and manipulatives all have their place.  Each shelf is labeled with an image of what belongs there.  Makes cleaning up easy, plus children know where to find their favorite toy next time they visit.

Rosa enjoyed playing with the Duplo Blocks.  Attaching the board to the side of a shelf created a different building experience.

We spent well over two hours playing with the children.  My friend and I both have young toddlers who both tended to stay in the play area, although we did have to chase after them a couple of times.

The bathrooms were clean, the space was clean and the employees were so helpful and friendly.  A few features that we didn’t photograph include a huge aquarium and a writing/art center.
