The Red, White and Blue Playground is located in Dearborn’s Levagood Park. The park is located south of Ford Road and west of Telegraph, on the corner of Silvery Lane and Wilson street, directly across from Divine Child Catholic High School. There is a parking lot facing North Silvery Lane street, leading guests by a handicap accessible play structure, swing set, bathroom and baseball field on the way to Red, White and Blue Playground. This playground is just one of four in Levagood.
The 38-acre park hosts Dunworth Pool, ball fields, inline skating rink, tennis courts, sledding hill, basketball, walking track (.59 mile), restrooms, sand volleyball, parking lots, wheelchair-accessible playground, picnic tables, drinking fountain in additon to a natural ice rink.
The Red, White, and Blue Playground at Levagood Park features two play structures. The larger structure has three slides, a rock wall, steps and as well as several climbing elements. For this reason, the playscape is ideal for adventurous youngsters looking to test out their gross motor skills.
The playground was in great condition during my family’s visit. There were many other families using the equipment. However, with two structures, there was plenty of space for many children to play.
The City of Dearborn is home to 7 community parks in addition to more than 30 neighborhood parks and playgrounds.
