Quirk Park in Van Buren: New Playground & Splash Pad

If you are looking for a fun all access playground, then check out Quirk Park in Van Buren. The park is also home to the largest splash pad in Wayne County. The Michigan Recreation & Park Association (mParks) awarded Van Buren Township’s Quirk Park Splash Pad & Playground their 2020 Park Design Award.

Quirk Park Playground Space

This newly updated playground features a play structure in addition to several swings. Guests can enjoy a small slide, walking bridge, fire pole and other climbing features. Swings include two traiditonal swings, two baby bucket swings and a face to face swing.

The play space provides plenty of opportunities for children to test their climbing and balance skills.

Wayne County’s Largest Splash Pad

The largest splash pad in Wayne county covers over 4070 square feet. Quirk Park splash pad is come to a giant dump bucked as well as 19 spreay features designed for children of all ages. In addition to the splash features, the area hosts benches, shade sails, and picnic seating. Finally, the splash pad area is surrounded by a fence to help keep the kids safe.

Ammenities at Quirk Park

In additon to the play structure and splash pad, this park includes many other ammenities. Visitors can enjoy walking paths, picnic tables, grills, pavilion, soccer fields, restrooms, as well as changing rooms. Guests may reserve the large pavilion, which has a capactiy of 150 people. There is also a small gazebo with a couple of benches.

Quirk Park Address and Hours

Address: 46425 Tyler Road in Van Buren Township. The park is located behind Township Hall.
Hours: The park is open Monday through Friday from 10 am until dusk. On Saturday and Sunday the park is open from 8 am until dusk.
Splash Pad Hours: From Memorial Day until Labor Day. The splash pad will be open daily from 11 am until 8 pm.
