Research on preschool programs and specific research on Michigan’s Great Start Readiness Program (GSRPs) indicate that children provided with a high-quality preschool experience show significant positive developmental differences when compared to children from the same backgrounds who did not attend a high-quality preschool program.
Dreamy Children’s Center provides the metro Detroit area families locations for their four-year-old to participate in the Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP). GSRP is Michigan’s state-funded preschool program for four-year old children. The program is administered by the Michigan Department of Education, Office of Great Start. Funding is allocated to each intermediate school district to administer the program locally. Children must be age 4 on or before September 1st, with waivers available for children who turn 4 before December 1st.
The program is free and income level will be the primary factor needed for determining eligibility and prioritization for enrollment of children who live in families at or below 250% Federal Poverty Level. Any child from a family above 250% Federal Poverty Level will be required to pay tuition based on a sliding scale fee.
Dreamy Children’s Center provides other daycare and educational programs including infant, toddler, early pre-school, pre-school, and montessori. Dreamy Children’s Center is family owned and operated with locations in Dearborn Heights, Westland, and Troy.
