Amazing UP Michigan Couples Getaway at Island Resort & Casino

Every parent needs a break now and then. We need to recharge and refill so we aren’t running on empty. Mini vacations are the perfect way to get away from life and refuel, so you can be the best parent you can be. Last week, hubby and I got to visit the Island Resort & Casino in Harris, Michigan. The resort is about a 7-hour drive away from the Detroit area.

Just a few miles east of Escanaba, Michigan lies Island Resort & Casino. It’s the perfect vacation destination for those who love to gamble, golf, or enjoy a spa getaway. Nature enthusiasts will love the plethora of State Parks within the area, including the amazing Pictured Rocks, and Kitch-iti-kipi. History buffs will love the nearby Fayette State Park.

There is so much to do during your visit. Guests can enjoy a day at the Drift Spa, a round of golf at one of the two premier courses on-site or some of the hottest casino action in the upper peninsula. The salt pool and hot tub are a great way to wind down and relax after a long day.

The casino action include table games, poker, bingo as well as slots beyond the eye can see. Guests will find themselves fully immersed in their gaming experience with table games such as blackjack, roulette, craps and let it ride.

The resort also offers live entertainment in two venues, Club Four One and Island Showroom. However, shows are canceled until further notice due to the Covid19 pandemic.
