Just Between Friends, commonly called JBF, is a seasonal children’s consignment sale where local families sell the things their kids have outgrown and other families get to shop them at a fraction of retail prices.
Shoppers can find items priced up to 90% off retail, making this a great opportunity to stock up for fall and winter.
What Can You Find at the JBF Rochester/Macomb Sale?
One of the best parts about Just Between Friends is that it’s much more than a clothing sale. You can shop for nearly everything you need for kids from infancy through the teen years.

JBF Rochester/Macomb Shopping Hours
There are several opportunities to shop throughout the weekend, including early-access shopping for anyone who wants first pick and half-price shopping for bargain hunters.
Thursday, October 1: Early Access Shopping
9 AM–9 PM
Thursday is the presale and early-access shopping day. Several ticket levels are available throughout the day, allowing shoppers to get in before the sale opens to the general public.
There are also special shopping opportunities for first-time parents and grandparents as well as Hometown Heroes, including teachers, military families, healthcare workers, first responders, homeschool parents and foster parents.
Early-access tickets vary in price and entry time, so be sure to reserve your preferred time in advance.
Friday, October 2: Public Shopping + Teen Night
9 AM–8 PM
Friday is open to the public. Admission is FREE when you reserve a ticket online or $3 at the door.
Have older kids? Friday also includes Teen Night from 2:30–8 PM, with an expanded selection of teen clothing, including jeans, hoodies, sneakers and popular brands.
Saturday, October 3: Public Shopping + Kids Market Day
9 AM–2 PM
General admission shopping continues Saturday morning, with a special opportunity for young entrepreneurs to showcase their creations to shoppers.
Saturday, October 3: Half-Price Presale
4–7 PM
JBF reopens Saturday afternoon for its Half-Price Presale.
Items with eligible non-starred tags will be 50% off, giving shoppers another chance to score some seriously good deals before the final public shopping day.
A ticket is required for the Saturday half-price presale.
Sunday, October 4: Half-Price Day
9 AM–12 PM
Sunday is the final day of the sale, and it’s all about the deals.
Eligible items with non-starred tags are 50% off at checkout, and the half-price sale is open to the public.
If you’re shopping primarily for basics, play clothes, toys or things you don’t necessarily need a specific brand or style of, Sunday can be a great time to see what’s left and stretch your budget even further.


Want the Best Selection? Shop Early
If you have something specific on your list, like a particular clothing size, popular toy, stroller or baby item, consider purchasing an early-access ticket for Thursday.
The earlier shopping windows give you access before general admission begins, while Friday and Saturday offer free general admission with an online reservation.
If your main goal is finding the lowest prices, check out the half-price shopping opportunities Saturday evening and Sunday morning.

And for next time – remember that families can also participate in the JBF sale as consignors. Sellers price and prepare their items, drop them off for the event and can track sales during the sale.
JBF Rochester/Macomb sellers can earn 60–70% on their sold items.
For parents who want to clear out the clutter but don’t have time to prep and tag everything themselves, JBF also offers a Valet Program, where a local tagger handles much of the process for you. Valet sellers earn 45% of their sold items.
