As a native Wayne County resident, I found out about the existence of the Wayne County Family Aquatic Center only thanks to this sponsored opportunity! Located on Detroit’s East Side just off of I-94, the Aquatic Center has a taste of summer fun for everyone!
Wayne County Family Aquatic Center
12600 Chandler Park Dr.
Detroit, MI 48213
As you enter the park, clean locker rooms are available with handicap accessibility. Lifeguards are stationed throughout the park for safety and assistance.
A toddler-friendly shallow area is located at the mouth of the wave pool, complete with dumping buckets, geysers, and sprinkler features. This area is nearest the most life guards on duty, taking extra precautions to keep young swimmers safe!
In the center of the Aquatic Center is a toddler splash pad with additional sprinkler features. There are also a variety of umbrellas and chairs for taking a snack break to enjoy the full menu available daily.
The water slide is a fun treat for those tall enough to ride!
Prices for Non-Residents of Wayne County are as follows:
Tots (Ages 2 and under) $3, Children (Ages 3-12) $6, Adults (Ages 13 yrs+) $8
Wayne County Residents receive $1 off non-resident admission prices. A free swim diaper is provided for children who need one, which is an added bonus with admission! Outside food is not permitted, but don’t worry there is a clean, friendly and well-stocked snack bar with a wide variety of snacks and meal items. The Wayne County Family Aquatic Center is just one of Detroit’s hidden gems that should surely be on your family’s bucket list this summer!
