When I was ten years old, I wanted to be a professional baseball player or marry one (in no specific order). I studied everything I could about the Detroit Tigers and the game of baseball. I loved everything about it! The glow of the lights, the crack of a bat hitting a ball, the smell of the concessions, the fans screaming with joy, all things baseball. Fast forward, 30 years, and I still love a good ball game. Nope, didn’t end up the first female professional baseball player, nor did I marry one but I did get to take my two daughters and husband to a glorious day at the ole ballpark. Not only did I get to enjoy a day with my family it was a special day because Sunday is kid day with the Detroit Tigers.
Each Sunday, when the Tiger’s are at home, kids 14 and under will receive a gift. You can find what the treat is for Sunday kids day by clicking here. My girls each received a Jose Iglesias bobble head. As you can see, they were all smiles.
Sunday kids day includes free rides on the carousel and the Fly Ball Ferris Wheel.
Your kids might also want to take advantage of the free face painting on Sunday kids day!
Also, your child can run the bases after the Tiger Game (weather permitting).
You will also find lots of other items at the stadium to keep the kids entertained. I enjoyed watching the water fountains.
