We just got back from an amazing staycation getaway from Great Wolf Lodge in Traverse City. Great Wolf Lodge gave us Pup & Paw Passes for our girls and a $50 dining credit in exchange for including those parts of our vacation in our post. We paid for our hotel room.

Great Wolf Lodge – Traverse City: Saving Money
First, we saved by booking our room a few months in advance and booking during the week. I will include a post here about how to save on your vacation, but for now, I will tell you that our room was $255.26 for 4 guests (Naomi was free) in a family suite for two nights, this included taxes and fees. This portion of our vacation we paid out of pocket. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a fantastic and breathtaking lobby. Check in was a breeze, quick and easy. In fact, we arrived early and our room was ready and we didn’t have to wait to get into our room. Another perk of picking days which are not busy. Our room included two queen beds, a pull-out couch, mini-fridge, microwave, hair dryer, free wifi, and two bottles of water per day. Since we were on the 4th floor our room had vaulted ceilings which made the room seem even bigger.
Staying at Great Wolf Lodge is amazing. There is so much to do beyond the waterpark, next time we visit we plan on taking at least 3 days. We had an amazing time at the waterpark, Ten Paw Alley, participating in MagiQuest and Clubhouse Crew Adventure. (more about all of these later.. I promise). We also met the Great Wolf Kids (costumed characters) at a variety of events through the day.

There is so much more to do than what we had time for. The vacation resort also offers seasonal mini golf, Compass Quest, an Arcade, fitness center, Elements Spa (massage, facials, mani/pedi and more), and Scoops Kid Spa (Mommy and me Spa).
With all the dining and shopping options, there is no reason you should have to leave the resort. We had breakfast at Camp Critter Bar & Grille on Thursday and Dunkin’ Donuts on Friday. We also tried out Buckets Incredible Cravables and Bear Paw Sweets & Eats.
But, should you want to leave, and try something different to eat, Traverse City has a ton of great dining options, including some of the following family-friendly locations: (** we have visited these locations) – Blue Tractor – Sleder’s Family Tavern – ** Red Mesa Read about our experience. – Bubba’s TC – Ham Bonz – Firefly – Flap Jack Shack – Omlette Shop – ** Trattoria Stella – ** Slabtown Burgers
