Drop-Ins Coming Soon to The Robot Garage: A Creative Space for Curious Kids

Drop-Ins at The Robot Garage

Something exciting is coming soon to The Robot Garage—an all-new Drop-In Program designed to spark curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of technology. Building on nearly a decade of teaching engineering and robotics through hands-on LEGO-based projects, The Robot Garage is reimagining its drop-in experience with fresh, innovative programming for 2026.

A New Generation of Drop-In Fun

The Robot Garage has spent years helping kids discover the magic of engineering through play. From LEGO builds to robotics challenges, its programs have introduced thousands of children to the world of STEM. The upcoming Drop-In Program builds on that legacy, offering a casual, low-cost, and high-impact experience that blends creativity, problem-solving, and tech exploration.

This updated drop-in experience will feature interactive stations, open-ended building zones, and opportunities for kids to experiment with robotics, coding, and engineering in an unstructured, family-friendly environment.

The goal? To make technology approachable, inspire curiosity, and show that learning can be both playful and purposeful.

Inspired by a Decade of Hands-On Learning

In past drop-in sessions, kids explored everything from LEGO trains and robots to LAQ, a Japanese building system that encourages geometric creativity. The Robot Garage’s team of educators encouraged kids to follow their imagination—creating entire worlds and telling stories through their builds.

Parents, grandparents, and caregivers joined in too, making the Drop-In Room as much about building relationships as it was about building structures. This philosophy will carry forward into the new 2026 Drop-In Program, which promises to be bigger, bolder, and more interactive than ever before.

Accessible, Affordable, and Always Engaging

The Robot Garage has always prioritized making STEM fun and accessible. Past drop-ins were just $8 per child for up to two hours of play, with adults always free. Families could also purchase a $99 annual membership, allowing up to four children unlimited access to the Drop-In Room.

While 2026 details are still being finalized, the new program will continue to be an affordable family activity, perfect for rainy days, weekend outings, or spontaneous after-school adventures.
