Cranbrook House & Gardens

The Cranbrook House & Gardens Auxiliary members, a volunteer-run organization, helped create, plant, and maintain more than 20 gardens.  Specifically, you can visit the Sunken Garden, Reflecting Pool, Herb Garden, and the Japanese Garden.

On their website, Cranbrook House & Gardens says people may have a hard time navigating the grounds because it’s a historic facility preserved and maintained as closely as possible to its original design. Additionally, they encourage you to download their app before exploring the gardens so you’re familiar with the area. Likewise, they have posted estate etiquette, such as not bringing pets and to not touch the sculptures, etc.

Cranbrook History

The Cranbrook House was built in 1908. The Booth family lived there for 40 years. In fact, it is the oldest manor home in Metro Detroit. You may go on guided tours from June through October. Cranbrook offers public tours, tours with tea or lunch, as well as private tours. Visit their website to book your tour today!

Cranbrook Gardens Flowers

Different flowers are always in bloom. Therefore, you may want to download the Cranbrook Gardens app. It will show you which ones are blooming when and where to find them.
