Boyne Mountain – The Resort

Last weekend we had the opportunity to enjoy a free stay at Boyne Mountain, including a one-day pass to the indoor water park, Avalanche Bay.  We received this stay in return for this promotional post.  We are not obliged to give a positive review.  All opinions are my own.

We are traveling all around Michigan and neighboring states to experience all the indoor water parks so we can share our experience with you.

Our visit to Boyne Mountain Resort last weekend was a ton of fun.  The resort offers plenty of exciting activities throughout the year including Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark, chairlift rides, golf, fishing, hiking, horseback riding, paintball, ziplines, swimming, smores, hayrides and so much more.  You can check out all the great Summer and Fall activities on their website.

We stayed in the Mountain Grand Lodge which offers rooms with up to four bedrooms that can sleep up to ten people.  Our room, the Salzburg three bedroom suite, featured 1326 square feet on two floors, a full kitchen (with dishes, cookware, and utensils), two full baths and a balcony with a gorgeous view of the skiing mountain.

We arrived on Friday and walked around the small village shops.  We had dinner at the Trophy Room Pub & Pizzeria.  We shared pizza, breadsticks, and salad which were all very tasty.  We then enjoyed a complimentary hayride around the property, games on the lawn and smores.

On Saturday, we enjoyed Avalanche Bay (more about that in another post).  And on Sunday we traveled back home after lunch.

I loved having a room with a full kitchen.  This saved us on eating out so much.  We decided to bring along breakfast and lunch, then we dined out for dinner at the resort.  I also loved that the room had bedrooms for everyone, which gave us our own spaces to relax after a long day at the water park.

Overall we had a fantastic time.  The employees were all very helpful.  My only issue was that a weekend didn’t really seem worth the drive.  If we were to visit again, we would want to stay at least 3 nights, maybe more, so we could visit the local towns and participate in more of the activities that were available at the resort.
