If your family is looking for some summer fun, then Beach Cove at Independence Oaks County Park is a great place to visit. The park offers several playgrounds, a beach, pavilions, volleyball, horseshoe pits, 12 miles of nature trails, sensory garden as well as an amphitheater and more on 1,286 acres.
Independence Oaks many different areas for their guests to enjoy including Beach Cove, Hidden Springs Beach, Lake Point, Lakeside View, Moraine Knoll, Pine Grove, Trailside, Twin Chimney, Amphitheater, Sensory Garden, as well as the Wint Nature Center.
Beach Cove at Independence Oaks
Beach Cove is located right next to Hidden Springs Beach which offers a scenic sandy beach on a 1.7-acre lake. In fact, both areas of the park share the same parking lot.
The Beach Cove area offers a brightly colored and lively playground. Furthermore, the play space offers a large structure that gives children the opportunity to test their physical abilities. Children will enjoy climbing up the rock wall, spider nets, as well as a variety of other challenging ladders. In addition to the ladders, and a rope bridge the structure offers several slides. The playground also has a few ADA swings, a bouncy toy, a platform swing, along with several other play components.
Beach Cove has horseshoe pits, sand volleyball courts, baseball diamonds as well as a pavilion. Finally, restrooms are conveniently located at the nearby Hidden Springs Beach.
