Summer is coming faster than you realize and many of you have been asking about summer camp programs. Upland Hills Farm offers a fantastic program, perfect for children ages five to twelve.
Back in the day, city families would often send their children to a relative’s farm in the summer so they could experience the country farm lifestyle. The experience provided for many learning opportunities that extended well beyond academics and basic farm knowledge. Many families nowadays do not have this opportunity, so Upland Hills has filled this demand with their
Summer Farm Day Camp.
Children come from all over the Metro Detroit Area to enjoy a week at the 240 acre farm. The experience is a child directed, fun environment where teamwork, creativity, self understanding, friendship and empathy are developed, all while providing the children with an environment rich with learning opportunities.
Campers can spend time in animals barns, feeding the animals, making butter, riding horses, playing sports, swimming, using paddle boats and canoes, playing on the playground, working with the animals, cooking on a campfire, creating crafts and so much more.
Camp Hours are from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm starting June 15th and weekly sessions run through August 28th. Don’t live near Oxford? No worries, Upland Hills offers busing (for an extra fee) from many Metro Detroit locations for limited sessions.
