Paper Bag Snowflake Tutorial

These giant snowflake is so easy to make and would be a great project to do with kids.

Materials

8 patterned or colored bags (I used a pack from the Dollar Tree)

Some sort of glue or adhesive.  Double sided tape, staples, or glue would all work.

Step one.  Glue the bottoms of the bags together

Step two: Place a line of adhesive down the middle and across the bottom.  Place next bag on top of the glue and repeat until all 8 bags have been attached to each other.

Step three: After the glue has had a minute to set, cut each side into a point.

Step four:  Place another T shape of glue on the top bag and carefully fan it out to attach to the other side.  You should end up with a giant circle shape.

I took mine and poked a hole in one of the bags, threaded a ribbon and then hung in my window.  I love the way it looks and it was such an easy and quick craft.

I found other printed bags at the Dollar Tree as well. I plan on making more of these and looking for other patterns.  My guess is instead of making a point, you could make a curved edge and make a flower as well.  I will be trying that when the spring bags pop up in the store!
