Nature’s Playhouse, an-all natural play space and wellness center for children and their families, held its downtown Ferndale grand opening on Saturday May 3rd!
Nature’s Playhouse is an all-natural play space and wellness centering offering families and expecting couples a place to connect with their peers in the community. They offer classes in natural child-birth, prenatal, family and therapeutic yoga, as well as adult and parent and child classes. They are also home to a number of free support groups for breastfeeding, postpartum, and baby-wearing, and host a variety of workshops and special events emphasizing family wellness. Their center will also sell handcrafted items made by Michigan artisans!
Owner Lisa Ball says “We understand how important it is to keep your new family healthy and happy which is why we design our classes to be more ‘family focused’ verses ‘child focused’. There is a class, support group, or a holistic practitioner available to foster physical and mental well being for each of our Nature’s Playhouse visitors.”
Nature’s Playhouse is specifically designed for a calm, relaxed and fun experience. They incorporate natural and recycled toys into their play space to minimize the effect on the environment. Most of the items in the room are made of natural fibers or wood.
We love the calm play space and that they mothers and mothers to be a wide variety of activities, groups, learning opportunities and is a fantastic community resource for parents. From Baby Sign Language Classes to Baby Wearing support groups to Play with Me Yoga, Nature’s Playhouse is a great resource for parents that want to get back to the basics.
Nature’s Playhouse is now located in downtown Ferndale on 9 Mile just west of Woodward.
