Tucked inside an Allen Park neighborhood is a newly remodeled park that makes a great pitstop for children of any age. Millward Park is located at 10401 Park Ave Allen Park, MI. The best route to enter the park is two blocks north on Crescent Street, which runs right into the park’s gravel parking lots which is much more convenient than parking on the side street and tracking through an often muddy field, at least with a toddler!
The park has been recently updated with a new playscape where mobile toddlers up to school-age children have something to climb up and jump off of!
The structure is surrounded by wood chips, making it a fun place for filling and emptying, so feel free to bring a bucket! The original park equipment is still on site and in working condition. Swings, toddler swings, a merry go round and a metal slide are included. On the opposite side of the parking lot are baseball and soccer fields along with a basketball net cemented into a large concrete space.
My toddler and I visited mid-day on a Friday and my only complaints were that some visitors did not clean up after their pets and the bathrooms were locked, so no potty breaks without leaving. Overall, this is a perfect stop for a busy day running errands to let the littles enjoy some always needed outdoor time.
