McDonald’s – Troy on Dequindre
Today we are revisiting the McDonald’s on Dequindre. Rosa and Evan enjoy getting their energy out here. This McDonald’s has a piano theme with decorations on the booth tables and garbage cans. A giant keyboard spans across the ceiling and onto the wall. I am sure that when it was new it looked great, but its time for a remodel.
Many of the chairs in the play area have ripped material on the seats, there are several tiles on the floor that are chipped and the garbage cans show rust along the hinges.
The play structure has some of the typical elements of a traditional McDonald’s layout, there is a spiral slide, staggered platforms for climbing, and tunnels for climbing. It has a giant space station compared to the typical layout and many more tunnels. It does not have the second slide or a spiral staircase. There isn’t anything for younger children to do if they cannot climb the staggered platforms.
The play area houses two booths, two four top tables and five two top tables. You can not see the play structure from the booths or from one of the four top tables and the play area is lacking it own bathroom.
