LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan is located within Great Lakes Crossing Outlets last year within District 6. It is right by the food court. You can also find Merlin Entertainment’s other attractions, Peppa Pig World of Play , and Sea Life Michigan nearby within the outlet.

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan

LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan is a 32,000 square-foot indoor LEGO® attraction where kids can spend hours creating, learning, playing and of course, having fun.  The theme park features 10 different attractions, with something for every LEGO lover.

Insider Tip: LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Michigan has only one entrance and is only accessible from inside the mall near the food court.

 When you enter, you will be instructed to stand on a colored dot in the waiting room for the LEGO® Factory This is an interactive movie will show you how LEGO® bricks are made, including how they get their shape and color! Don’t worry about what color you get, each experience offers the same opportunities at each station.

Kingdom Quest Laser Ride

The Kingdom Quest Laser Ride (big dark blue rectangle on the map) offers guests the experience of riding in a chariot. They also use their laser to zap the bad guys away in attempt to rescue the princess. The kids all loved this ride and asked to go again.

Insider Tip: Do you have children that want to ride, but you can’t (or don’t want to)?  Wait in line, then tell the employee.  They will provide an adult for you (an employee) to ride with your children, so your children don’t have to miss out.

Merlin’s Apprentice Ride

The Merlin’s Apprentice Ride (green circle on the map) is a wizard themed indoor ride that encourages guests to pedal as fast as they can to see how high they can get.

Insider Tip: 
LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Michigan has only one entrance/exit.  Once you enter the main play area, the only exit is buy the Merlin’s Apprentice ride.  This makes it easier to keep track of your children while they play.

LEGO® DUPLO® Farm

If you have younger children then the LEGO® DUPLO® Farm (large green rectangle on the map) is the perfect place to explore.  There’s a ring filled with DUPLO® bricks and another with larger bricks and a super fun house and slide.

LEGO® Friends

Guests can have an opportunity to meet all their favorite LEGO® Friends within this section. Guests can find Lego Friends right next to the LEGO® DUPLO® Farm. Life-sized LEGO® figures are available for photo ops, while a whole city is provided for children to let their imagination soar.

LEGO® Racers: Build & Test


LEGO® Racers: Build & Test (black/red/gray square on the map) allows guests to build their own vehicle and then test it on the ramps.  Builders can make modifications and also try to make their creation faster.   You can even time its speed on the test track which records the time to the hundredth of a second.

 Earthquake tables allow guests to test their buildings against the forces of nature.  Build a tower, then turn on the machine and watch the platform shake, turn up the forces for a even stronger earthquake.  

Insider Tip: LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Michigan hosts free Wifi for its customers.

LEGO® 4D Cinema

The LEGO® 4D Cinema (blue/yellow square on the map) takes the 3D experience to a new level by adding wind, rain, snow as well as lightning to the movie.  

Insider Tip: The restrooms as well as the water fountain are located between the Cinema and Earthquake table. There’s even a single stall available for families or those who need handicap access. There is also a changing table for infants/toddlers in the single stall.

LEGO® City: Play Zone

The LEGO® City: Play Zone (yellow/gray/red square on the map) offers children (up to 56″) the opportunity to burn off some extra energy within this indoor play zone. The play area features the LEGO® Fire Academy together with the LEGO® Construction Site. The structure offers climbing walls, slides, a jungle gym and also much more.

Insider Tip: LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan requires that children wear socks when playing on the soft play structure, LEGO City.

Insider Tip: LEGOLAND® Discovery Center Michigan has a quiet room located between the party room and the soft play structure.  This room is available for breastfeeding mothers, children who need to take a break from the action or adults who would like to chat while the kids play.

Visitors can learn how to create LEGO® models from the experts in the LEGO® Model Builder Academy. (green floor, yellow circle table on the map).  Guests that attend the workshops will have the opportunity to learn building tips and secrets from the Master Model Builder.

Keep coming back to find out more top building secrets and to create great LEGO® models to take home! {there may be a small charge to take home models created in the Model Builder Academy}

The Cafe offers healthy food and snack options for guests. This is perfect for those that need to take a break from all the fun.  Annual Pass Members will receive a 20% discount on Cafe purchases.

Miniland Detroit

Twenty builders spent about six months and used over 1.5 million LEGO® bricks to create the infamous MINILAND Detroit. (light blue rectangle on the map).  More than 50 landmarks, including Comerica Park, The Renaissance Center, Fox Theatre as well as the People Mover are made entirely out of LEGO® bricks.

If you spend some time in the Detroit Miniland Exhibit you will see day, night and also fireworks. Additionally, there are many interactive components to keep the kids entertained.
