Hemlock Splash Pad and Playground in Dearborn: New in 2019

Hemlock park in Dearborn was one of three sites to get a new splash pad in 2019. The splash pads at Crowley, Hemlock and Whitmore-Bolles park are part of the city’s extensive aquatic program.

Hemlock Park Amenities

With over 1 million square feet of green space, Hemlock Park offers a splash pad as well as a wheelchair-accessible playground. Guests can also enjoy the ball field, sledding hill, soccer field, basketball, shelter area, walking track (.4 mile), restrooms, picnic tables, and a drinking fountain. There are three parking lots, making all areas of the park easily accessible.

The 3,000 square foot splash pad is located in the northeast section of the park. There are two parking lots nearby, one off of Hemlock Avenue as well as the one on Reuter Street. With spray features for kids of all ages kids and parents alike can enjoy the space, free of charge to cool off in the summer. While the ground is cement, the space is fenced in and there are a few benches about the space. According to the city website, children under 10 years old must be supervised by someone age 16 or older.

Playground Fun

Hemlock Park offers two playground areas, both on the west side of the park. The two areas offer kids the opportunity to run, jump and play on a variety of slides, climbing elements as well as a rock wall and spider net. Both playgrounds are within a short distance from the west parking lot off of Hemlock Avenue. The restrooms are also nearby, making this a great spot for families with young children.

The park is open daily from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Hemlock Park is located at 13335 Hemlock in Dearborn MI, north of Ford Road and east of Schaefer. The park is within minutes of I-94.
