Gymnastic Training Center (GTC) in Rochester Hills

Rochester Hills for their open gym. When
you enter the gym area, there is a water fountain, cubbies for shoes and socks,
a bathroom and chairs for parents to watch.
The gym is nicely padded with drawings of characters on the walls. There is a definite sweaty gym smell as you
enter, but everything appeared to be clean.
The bathroom was clean, but there wasn’t a changing table for little
poles, a rope climb, a bounce house, which
they blew up towards the end of the session, and a crawl through tunnel
with shapes cutout on the outside. There
is a winding staircase to access the slide and loft like area with the second
trampoline and huge foam pit for jumping.
think they need address is a “danger zone” that my two year old
discovered. In the loft area there is a
net surrounding the trampoline. However,
there is an opening between the net and the wall, where a person can walk
through to access a maintenance looking area.
The problem with this set up is that once you go behind this net, there
is nothing keeping your child from falling off of the loft area onto the first
floor. Nothing! If my child can find it then I am sure
another child will also eventually discover this area. The instructor was very nice and assured me
that it has never happened before, but I would keep a close eye on your child
if they go on top.
If you worry about your kids and cooties then I would bring
hand sanitizer or wipes for after. They
do have a hand sanitizer dispenser, but it is hidden and not near the exit.
sure go back one day soon.
and the cost is $5.00 per child. If you
have never been or if you are bringing a guest, you must stop by the front desk
and fill out a waiver form. GTC also
offers instructional classes and camp fun during afternoon hours. For more information, visit their website http://www.gtcgymnastics.com/ or call
