Fall is now in full swing which means a lot of fun activities to take advantage of with your family. The weather has been on and off lately so here are some indoor and outdoor ideas for the week of September 30th.

The Wilson Barn Pumpkin Fest

Pick a pumpkin, gourd, or corn stalk to decorate your home this fall season. Pony rides and hayrides are available every day, weather permitting. Scout Days at SEA LIFE Michigan

Skeletons Are Alive Launch Party

Friday October 4th 6pm-9pm
Downtown Northville; Town Square (across from the Marquis Theatre on Main Street)
More than 120 life-sized themed Skeletons will be welcomed to town for the month of October. The skeletons arrival will be kicked off with the Skeletons are Alive Launch Party. Free and open to the public. Dress up in Halloween costumes and enjoy music, food trucks, and the Ypsilanti Ghostbusters will also be on site to take pictures with. Grades 1-9 Come hang out and play Minecraft on our custom server! There will be both survival and creative areas to enjoy either individual play or with friends. Get your own space on our server so your work will be saved for the future or play on our group server with other kids who attend this event. Play at your own level and explore all the aspects of a multi-player MineCraft experience within the safe, controlled environment of The Robot Garage. Parents are subject to a late fee of $1 per minute for any child who is not picked up within 10 minutes of the end of the event.

18th Annual Great Lakes Bat Festival

Free, family-friendly event that focuses on bat conservation through speakers, puppet shows, hands-on activities and opportunities to learn how to protect and encourage bats in our communities.

Fab Fall Color Walk

Walk anytime between 1 and 3 to find the five color blast stops along the 1.25 mile trail. To preregister, visit their website…you might still be able to get a t-shirt. Cost: $7. NOTE: A Metroparks vehicle entry permit is required to enter any Metropark and is only $35 annually for regular admission, $24 annually for seniors or $10 daily.

The 6th Annual Pumpkinfest weekend at MSU Tollgate Farm

Saturday and Sunday, October 5th & 6th, from 11 am to 5 pm

Admission is $5 per person, 2 and under are free.
Enjoy wagon rides out to a pumpkin patch to pick your own pumpkin, free concerts, harvest story time with local librarians and children’s authors, food, pumpkin activities, straw maze and so much more. Fall Festival Kensington Metropark
