Kids Ski FREE Michigan program!

Did you know that Michigan ranks second for the number of skiing hot spots state-wide? Your family could save big with a Cold is Cool Ski & Ride Pass!

The Michigan Snowsports Industries Association is challenging fourth and fifth grade Michigan students to find out just how “cool” the “cold” can be!  Students can get a Ski & Ride Passport that includes 3 free ski lift tickets to be used at any one of 25 participating ski areas throughout Michigan.

The “Cold is Cool” Fourth & Fifth Grade Ski & Ride Passport is one of the elements of Michigan Snowsports Industries Association  “Cold is Cool” program, with a mission of improving the health and wellness of Michigan’s children and families.  Cold is Cool activities are endorsed by the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports, and they qualify for First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move campaign.

For more information on what skiing locations are participating, read more here. Families will need to provide proof that a child is in fourth or fifth grade with a page of a report card or a note from a guardian stating the child’s grade equivalent.  Ski passports are valid through April 30, or the end of the 2019/20 ski season.

Considering how hard it can be to find outdoor fun in the winter months, use these savings to indulge in a family favorite or try something new!
