Visitor’s guide for Northville Symphony of Lights. Over 125,000 dazzling lights that dance to the music.
The Northville Symphony of Lights (formerly Livonia Lights) will start this year on December 1st. The free, family event features 125,000 lights that dance to the beat of the music. This year, the event will be held at Northville Christian School, about 1 mile west of 6 Mile / 275 (near Livonia) in the back of the building.
The lights synchronize to a combination of contemporary Christmas songs like the Trans Siberian Orchestra classic, Christmas Eve Sarajevo, a Disney classic as well as traditional Christmas music selections. In addition to the decorations, the 2020 Christmas light show will feature a giant wall of lights that is nearly 200 feet wide and two stories tall.
The event is scheduled to take place from December 1st until December 25th. The weekday shows (Monday – Friday) run every 15 minutes from 7 pm until 9 pm. Weekend Shows (Saturday & Sunday) will run every half hour from 6 pm until 8 pm, with the last show at 8 pm.
This year, the event is designed to enjoy from the comfort of your car. Simply park in the back of Northville Christian, tune in to the radio station and watch the dancing light show.
