Come hang out and play Minecraft on our custom server! There will be both survival and creative areas to enjoy either individual play or with friends. Get your own space on our server so your work will be saved for the future or play on our group server with other kids who attend this event. Play at your own level and explore all the aspects of a multi-player MineCraft experience within the safe, controlled environment of The Robot Garage. Parents are subject to a late fee of $1 per minute for any child who is not picked up within 10 minutes of the end of the event.

  • Description: SEA LIFE Michigan Aquarium invites guests to its Fish or Treat event to take part in several Halloween-themed activities —including half off the price of admission for everyone dressed in a costume every day until Halloween. Families can search for ghoulish goodies in the touch pool and see incredible underwater pumpkin carvings in the ocean tank. Underwater pumpkin carvings will take place at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 15 and 22 and at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Your child will explore the sights and sounds of nature through this outdoor hands-on activity. Sturdy strollers are welcome. Adult partner is free and must accompany his or her child throughout the program.

Father and Son Bow Day

Girls Makeup Expo

  • This event is a free event for girls ages 12-18. Our goal is to help young ladies to enhance their beauty by doing proper skin care, using age appropriate makeup, eye lashes that are appropriate for the workplace, school and when going out. How to dress on a shoe string budget and still be up with the times. Learning all about sisterhood and more.

Day of the Dead Celebration

  • Each year, the Lorenzo Cultural Center celebrates the colorful and festive Mexican holiday Dia de los Muertos or Day of the Dead, through photographic exhibits; traditional ofrenda, or altars; presentations; films and workshops. 

Trick or Treating

  • Calling all ghosts, goblins, princesses and superheroes! You are invited to join us for Trick-or-Treating throughout the “streets” of Tanger. Participating stores and Shopper Services will provide candy to children 12 and under, while supplies last. Masks for children only. Look for display decals on entrance doors of participating stores.

Mother-Daughter Princess Tea
November 2 & 3

  • Location: Longacre House – 24705 Farmington Rd, Farmington Hills, MI
  • There are two different times on Saturday and Sunday from 10-11:30am and 1-2:30pm
  • $15; buy your tickets here
  • Dress up like your favorite princess and join us for a fancy tea party! Activities will include a princess craft to take home, dance party and photo opportunities with 2 REAL PRINCESSES! The event concludes with tea and cookies. Registration required for both adult and child.

Katie Rork

Katie is a hard workin' momma who loves to be where the people are. She has a daughter named Charlotte (almost 4 years old), a son named Silas (19 months old), and her husband's name is Jeff (married 6 years). She graduated from Madonna University with a degree in Broadcast and Cinema Arts. She shared her love and passion for journalism at 9&10 News, Northern Michigan's News Leader for 8 years as a reporter and anchor. Her family moved to Metro Detroit to be closer to family and her husband's new job. Katie is excited to write for MDM and help other mommas!
