Holiday Markets 2019 – Detroit

Lego Ornament Workshop

$15 per participant ($10 for members)

Learn some advanced building techniques and go home with your own unique Lego Ornament. Work with our instructors to select pieces to customize your ornament design and then build step by step as a group. This event is for all ages, however as this is a complex build, we suggest children under 10 have an adult present to assist them.

Come hang out and play MineCraft on our custom server. There will be both survival and creative areas to enjoy either with individual play or with friends. Free Fall Term Planetarium Shows – Detroit

  • Description: Come join us under the dome for a planetarium show at Wayne State University! Located in room 0209 Old Main, we’ll do some hands on demonstrations, give you a live star talk about the current night sky and our favorite astronomical objects, and follow up with ‘Dawn of the Space Age’ – a full dome film celebrating the history of space exploration. Our planetarium has seating for 60. Children are welcome at our Friday night shows so long as they can enjoy themselves without disturbing the other visitors. Our vocabulary and topics of discussion are geared towards a teen and adult audience so young science enthusiasts will love it but those children new to astronomy may prefer our Young Astronomers show, offered on the second Saturday of the month.
