Nothing says summer like bubbles! Somehow we use A LOT of bubble solution in our house, the cheapest way to use it is to make it with simple household ingredients. Rarely, do we have glycerin around the house, but I found this recipe worked just as well!
What you need:
8 cups of water
2 cups dish soap ( We used blue Dawn- I’m no sure why it looks greenish)
1 cup cornstarch
2 Tablespoons baking powder
Mix ingredients in that order in a large bucket or container. It looks a little cloudy and clumpy but if you stir it gently the cornstarch and baking powder will dissolve, it will have the color of whatever soap that you use. Let sit for 30-60 minutes ( if you can!) Solution is good for several days. It still worked 6 days later, but the bubbles seemed to pop faster. It will likely look similar to the container below. You can double or triple it easily (I made three batches below because we had company over!)
We used these giant bubble wands from the dollar store! But you could easily twist a coat hanger into a loop shape or use a small bubble wand you may have around the house.
