The workspace is clean, bright and comfortable. Seating allows parents to collaborate, meet, chat, or work alone as your needs require, while children are able to play in a safe learning environment.
Wifi service enhances productivity options, while the community can provide support for parents and families from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
For those who need an occasional working space, drop-in services are available, along with on-site drop-in child care.
A cooperative, Montessori based preschool program is available on Tuesdays & Thursdays, from 12:30 to 4:00 pm. The classes are led by a master teacher with a PhD. Parents are required to volunteer in the classroom on a rotating basis.
Detroit Parent Collective also offers Arts + Literacy and Music + Movement plugged in for the children in the Cooperative PreSchool. Lactation Consulting + Parenting Discussions are available for parents who participate in the CoWorking Space. They are also exploring other additional resources that fit into their mission and goals such as nature preschool classes.
Overall I found this to be a great community resource and I look forward to hearing all about the great programs and opportunities this space will be providing. Check out the Detroit Parent Collective on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
Meet Amber, a busy work-at-home mom to four fantastic kids: Damian (27), Rosaleigh (15), Carlyn (12), and Naomi (9)! 🌟 When she’s not running Metro Detroit Mommy, she loves to dive into creative projects like drawing, photography, and crafting, or unwind with some gardening, reading, and meditation. 🌿🎨📸
Amber cherishes the moments she gets to spend with her kids and feels incredibly fortunate to provide them with endless opportunities and experiences through her work. She’s also on a personal journey, focusing on improving her emotional health every day. 💖✨
