Cummingston Park – Royal Oak

Cummingston Park is located on Torquay & Leafdale, north of 14 Mile between Crooks & Coolidge.  This park contains over 25 acres of nature/hiking trails and also includes a play structure, picnic area and multi-purpose fields.

Rosa and I visited this park today.  While she enjoyed playing on the structure, I did notice there was a fair amount of graffiti and it looked like it could use a good power wash.  There is plenty of enough room for children to run around and play on the structure with slides, monkey bars, swings and more.  There is even a small sandbox area.  A few benches are placed around the play area for parents to relax while children burn off steam.

The park is lacking a restroom and water fountain, but is shaded by a few nearby trees.  We did not check out the extensive nature trails available, but we did notice there was a dog run at the West end of the park.
