Come celebrate with ProjectArt Detroit as they celebrate their 5th anniversary with a virtual benefit!

ProjectArt Detroit is celebrating its 5th anniversary and they want you to join in the virtual benefit!

This exciting event will take place at 7 p.m. on April 22 and will benefit ProjectArt Detroit and the Detroit Public Library.

In case you haven’t heard, ProjectArt is a national nonprofit with a branch in Detroit. ProjectArt helps empower young people, emerging artists and communities through partnerships with public libraries. It has out-of-school and residency programs for artists and underserved K-12 students that creatively and effectively teaches the visual arts.

Artists create new artwork and also mentor students who do not get adequate access to art education and cultural opportunities. It was founded in 2011 by Adarsh Alphons in Harlem and is now in nine cities across the U.S.

ProjectArt Detroit, founded in 2016, has partnerships with the DPL’s seven branches.

If you would like to attend the virtual benefit, get your tickets online here.

ProjectArt Detroit is also looking for event sponsors.

The virtual benefit will be a 45-minute celebration where attendees can meet students and resident artists, view artwork and get insight into the program.
