American Gymnastics is located at 52057 Sierra (north of 23 mile, east of I94). Sierra takes a little jog to the east, so when you turn north off of 23 mile, you will need to turn right, then left to stay on Sierra. American Gymnastics has a sign on the lawn near the entrance to help you find your way.
I was greeted by the manager upon my entry and directed to fill out a waiver form (required on your first visit). We attended the Open Toddler Time which takes place on Fridays from 10:00 am to Noon. (During the school months) The program is designed for children of walking age up to six years of age.

We took our shoes and socks off an proceeded to the gym area where we were greeted by one of the preschool gym instructors. The gym is filled with a ton of traditional equipment, tumbling mats, uneven parallel bars, two trampolines, two trampoline runners, foam pit, balance beams, horses, rings, a rope and more. In addition to the regular equipment, they had a bunch of balls, rings, bean bags and other toys out for the children to play with.
The gym was extremely clean and the equipment showed no wear. I was particularly impressed with the restrooms which contained multiple stalls, sinks and a changing table. There were two drinking fountains that had stools set up for easy access for the children. There were also a couple of vending machines for refreshments. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful.
During the play time there were two instructors who helped the children in their play. They helped children tumble jump and gave gentle guidance. There was music playing the whole time that was geared toward children and movement. One song came on an nearly every child in the gym ran to the mats to participate. It was such a great experience. If I lived closer, I would have signed Rosa up for a class right then. Overall the best gym I have seen so far in the Metro Detroit Area.
American Gymnastics offers a ton of programs including Friday and Saturday Night Flip Outs, Open Gym, Toddler Open Gym, classes and birthday parties.
