So here we are at eight months.  Two-thirds of a year.  I will probably say this each month, but it is just amazing how time just flies by.    At eight months, Carlyn is sitting with much more confidence.  She has started cruising and has learned how to do raspberries.

One of my favorite things she has learned is to anticipate.  We play a game where I say “Bumble Bee, Bumble Bee on the Farm, Bumble Bee get Carlyn under the arm.” and then I tickle her and she will start giggling before I even touch her.

I am amazed at how she is so very different than my other two children.  She is REALLY into food.  She will try to eat anything, whereas my son would not put anything in his mouth that wasn’t food and Rosa was content with solely nursing.    Carlyn spend a lot of time crawling around scavenging for food, finding the tiniest bits and putting them in her mouth.  Great for fine motor skills, but not so healthy I am sure.

She is also aware of what is new to her.  She isn’t very interested in what she has already played with, but if her sister leaves a toy in the living room, it only takes Carlyn a minute to find it and put it in her mouth.

Rosa is such a great big sister.  She is so helpful and asks about the her toys and if they are safe to share with Carlyn.  She wants to help with feeding her, changing her and she loves to take a bath with her.
