Canton Township Children’s Library

The children’s area at the Canton Township Public Library underwent a major renovation recently. It reopened in early April with a celebration of the opening on April 24.  As a tutor, I spend lots of time in the children’s library with my students.
It is an amazing place to learn, play, make friends, and more!
Beyond the rows and rows of books, there is an early literacy area with skill focused games/toys and puppets for creative play and socialization.
When it comes to electronics for the little ones, the children’s library offers both computers and IPads with a wide range of educational applications and games. Children are also able to safely surf the web and compose and print documents.
One of the newest sections in the library is the storytime kits area. Children are able to use the storytime kits in the library or they can check them out to take home. Each kit as a book, CD, and puppets.

One of the things I like best about the children’s library is the wide assortment of seating areas. There are areas for reading, studying, and socializing.

I also enjoy all the extra little touches like the skylights for natural lighting, plenty of windows, artificial tree in the middle of the library, and the beautiful courtyard with statues of children reading.
If you are looking for a library that is bright, beautiful, child-friendly, and full of educational resources, I high suggest visiting the Canton Township Children’s Library. There are plenty of bright welcoming faces ready to greet you and assist you.
