It’s fall and we are out and about in Metro Detroit, checking out cider mills. If you are looking for tasty cider and yummy donuts check out Ashton Orchards Cider Mill, which is located in Ortonville, Michigan on Seymour Lake Road. (just east of Sashabaw Road). Website Ashton Orchards is a smaller property that sells fruits, vegetables, bakery items, and apple cider. They have a bakery, shop, picnic area, and children’s play area.
Ashton Orchards Cider Mill Food & Drink
This cider mill produces and sells fruits, vegetables including market apples, peaches, plums, pears, sweet corn and pumpkins. They also offer many items made in their bakery such as donuts, pies, breads, pastries, caramel apples, honey, jam, jelly, cider spice mix and applesauce. Fresh apple cider is made in their on-site cider mill from the apples they grow.
Things to Do at Ashton Orchards Cider Mill
When you visit be sure to check out their farm market and bakery for fresh food items. In addition to delicious food items, Ashton Orchard Cider Mill sells firewood. Visitors are welcome to enjoy their purchases in the picnic area on site.
There is a small children’s play area with a wooden train so your little ones can burn off some of their energy.
Inside the store, you will find many older machines that visitors can view. This can easily lend itself into a great learning opportunity.

Open August – December, Monday through Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and on Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
