3 & Up Board Game Lounge in Plymouth, MI

**I received free admission for myself and my family in order to review 3 & Up. However, all opinions in this article are 100% my own. **

Our family loves to play board games, card games, and we have been know to engage in some party games when we get a large enough group over. However, we are often distracted by our daily obligations and don’t spend nearly enough time playing as we would like to. We are not alone in our problem and that is why Christopher Erwin created 3 & Up. 3 & Up is an eclectic board game lounge located in Plymouth,MI with over 1000 games for everyone to enjoy in an electronic free zone.

3 & Up is open 7 days a week and operates based on a pay to play system. They also have 2 party rooms that can be rented for birthday parties, girl’s night out, gamer nights or any special function where privacy is requested. Hours of play can leave you thirsty and hungry and 3 & Up understands that so they allow you to bring in outside snacks and beverages. You can even have a pizza delivered if you would like. If you don’t want to bring your own snacks they do have a snack bar stocked with Michigan brand beverages and snacks.

We arrived to 3 & Up soon after opening on a Saturday morning and were the first guests to arrive. I was taken back by how impressive 1000 games actually look on the shelves. All the games are sorted by type of game and then alphabetically. Just like at the library, they will re-shelve them for you.

The staff is great about making recommendations for games to try based on subjects your children are working on in school (ie, addition, spelling, word recognition) or types of games you like to play as a family. We learned about a fun new game called Sleeping Queens that we will be purchasing to add to our home game library.

There are several different areas where you can sit down and play. They have tables and chairs, couches, or 2 small gathering areas. If the weather is nice you can step outside and play some games on the oversized Jenga, Checkers, or Connect 4 games.

3 & Up is definitely a place that we will visit in the future for their extensive game selection and the atmosphere void of any distractions. It allowed us to unwind and connect without worrying about the chores that needed to be done. I highly recommend it for a fun family visit or a unique one of a kind party.
