2020 Big Bright Light Show Extended to 1/31/2020- Downtown Rochester



The Big, Bright Light Show is a holiday display in Downtown Rochester. The buildings of Main Street are aglow with over 1 million “big, bright” lights.   The celebration will continue nightly, through Jan. 31, 2020, from 5:00 pm until Midnight.

More about the 2020 Big Bright Light Show

The Big, Bright Light Show, a holiday display unlike any in the Midwest, is entering its 15th season. The display will include buildings on Main Street starting at the South Bridge through University Drive.  Additionally, buildings on Fourth Street from Walnut to Water Street will be covered.

“The Big, Bright Light Show is holiday magic personified; it is something you have to see to believe,” stated Kristi Trevarrow, Executive Director of the Rochester Downtown Development Authority. “This holiday tradition is one of a kind, and the perfect complement to the one-of-a-kind shopping experience one will find in Downtown Rochester.”

The 2020 Big, Bright Light Show is presented by Fox Automotive. Additional Sponsors also include Downtown Rochester and WXYZ Detroit- Channel 7.

Downtown Rochester Snowglow

The Downtown Rochester Snowglow will take place on Friday, January 15 from 5 until 9 pm & Saturday, January 16 from 10 am until 9 pm.  The Snowglow will include ice sculptures lining the streets, live ice carving demonstrations, and, of course, The Big, Bright Light Show.  This is year’s ice sculpture theme is “Christmas Cheer”.  Don’t miss carvings of your holiday favorites. Characters include Buddy The Elf, Frosty the Snowman, the Christmas Vacation Stationwagon, and many more.  Saturday from 11 am – 2 pm, visitors are invited to enjoy an Ice Carving Competition on West Fourth Street.
