Attractions and Ammenities

Waterford Oaks Waterpark offers a tropical wave pool in addition to a water playground with more than 30 interactive features. The park has plenty of tables and lounge chairs for guests to use. There is also a bathhouse with showers and lockers. Finally, the park offers two picnic shelters available to rent. It is important to note that the park is smoke and alcohol free and glass is not permitted.

The Wave Pool at Waterford Oaks

At Waterford Oaks Wave Pool, guests can enjoy a 450,000 gallon tropical wave pool that features palm trees and bubbler fountains near the shore. The pool is heated to 80 degrees, so even on cooler or cloudy days, families can still enjoy a trip to the park. Additionally, the wave pool features a zero depth entry, providing barrier free access as well as a gradual increase in water depth. The max depth of the pool is 7 feet, 8 inches. This is perfect for families with smaller children that want to hang out in more shallow waters.

Innertubes are also available to guests, free of charge, so they can enjoy the wave pool on top of the waves. The wave pool runs in cycles, 10 minutes of waves then 10 minutes without waves.

The Big Bucket

This children’s water playground provides more than 30 interactive activities for hours of outdoor entertainment. Kids will love the Big Bucket that dumps 300 gallons of water on the guests. This area features zero-depth entry as well as a max depth of 18 inches. Guests should be 56 inches tall or shorter to use this play area.

Is Waterford Oaks Waterpark Open?

Yes, Waterford Oaks Waterpark opened in June of this year (2023). Waterford Oaks Wave Pool hours are from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursdays through Sundays. However, the park is closed every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
Also, the wave pool will be open from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. July 4 and Sept. 4 for the Fourth of July and Labor Day holidays.

Water Park Ticket Info

Guests are encouraged to purchase waterpark and wave pool tickets online at OaklandCountyParks.com up to three days prior to day of visit. However, guests can purchase tickets on site during regular hours. It is recommended that guests check ticket availability for specific days before coming out to the waterpark or wave pool, as it’s likely many days will sell out in advance.

Waterford Oaks Wave Pool ticket prices are $21 regular rate and $16 Oakland County resident rate on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays; and $15 for everyone on Thursdays and Fridays. Children ages 0-1 are always free with a paid adult admission.
