Parmenter’s Cider Mill – Northville

Metro Detroit Mommy Blogger: Carmen Lawes

We went to Parmenter’s Cider Mill in Northville yesterday (10/24/2015), which is by far our family’s favorite place to get cider and donuts. We live in Ferndale and go out of our way several times each fall to get their fresh treats.
Yesterday, I was wowed upon trying the kielbasa and sauerkraut for the first time. With that said, I will be sure to get this every time we go in addition to our cider, donut and caramel apple staples.
The cider seems richer and tastier than other mills we’ve tried. Their spiced donuts are heaven and stay soft for a few days which prolongs our enjoyment after visiting.
They usually have a flea market on site with handmade crafts to browse through. There is also a nut mill, a fudge hut, and a winery onsite.
The kids play area is complete with a wooden monster truck and a wooden train with multiple cars to climb through.
The visit is completed by breathtaking views of the river surrounded by colorful trees and swarming with ducks to feed. I’ve seen a number of people buy their apple cider slush which seems interesting and new to me. They also sell pies, candy, preserves, apple and pumpkin butters, syrups, fresh eating apples etc.
